Jones joins Far North Insurance in West Fargo

Pat Jones has joined Far North Insurance as a certified insurance counselor.

He will be working in the new West Fargo location at 1241 Prairie Parkway, Suite 120.

Jones has 20 years of experience in commercial and personal lines insurance.

Perhus joins US Bank as mortgage originator

U.S. Bank has hired Ray Perhus as a mortgage loan originator at the West Acres branch in Fargo.

Perhus has more than 20 years of mortgage experience including conventional, FHA, VA and USDA rural housing, along with other real estate-related products.

Cornerstone hires Frey, Montgomery as tellers

Kara Frey and Reed Montgomery have joined Cornerstone Bank in Fargo as tellers.

Each has cash handling and customer service experience. Frey is attending North Dakota State University, where she is majoring in exercise science. Montgomery graduated from NDSU with a degree in business administration.

LSS ND names disaster response director

Shirley Dykshoorn has been named director of the Lutheran Disaster Re-sponse program at Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota.

Dykshoorn was most recently executive director of Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity, Moorhead. She was also previously the lead director for Fannie Mae Business Centers in North Dakota, project director for the Tri-State Rural Collaboration Project and state supervisor of volunteer services for the North Dakota Department of Human Services.

She has a master’s of public administration degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and a bachelor’s degree in social work from Jamestown (N.D.) College.

Langerud promoted to senior PR specialist

Tammy Langerud has been promoted to senior public relations specialist at Odney. The agency has offices in Minot, N.D., Bismarck, Fargo and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

An eight-year veteran with the agency, Langerud will serve as a lead public relations specialist on Odney’s newly formed strategic engagement team.

She has 15 years of experience in public and media relations, public information and marketing in the tourism, energy, government, health care and technology industries.

Langerud is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead, and she has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

JLG Architects hires specifications writer

JLG Architects has hired Mark Eskildsen in its Fargo office as a specifications writer.

Eskildsen is a registered architect and a construction documents technologist. He has more than 10 years of experience and received his architecture license in 2005.

He is also a member of the Construction Specifications Institute and became a construction documents technologist in 2011.

A native of Fargo, Eskildsen graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and a bachelor’s degree in environmental design. He previously worked for Zerr Berg Architects in Fargo and Widseth Smith Nolting, Bemidji, Minn.

Joni Salon and Spa hires five, offers new services

Joni Salon and Spa, 111 4th St. S., Moorhead, has hired Lea Hanson, Lisa Weaver, Amy Olson and Jacque Schlick as stylists and Nancy Fehrenbach as an aesthetic registered nurse.

Hanson has 10 years of experience as a stylist. She offers color services, haircutting and also specializes in hair extensions.

Weaver has eight years of experience as a stylist and offers haircuts, coloring and hair extensions.

Olson has worked as a stylist in the Fargo-Moorhead area for the past 13 years, and her services include haircutting, coloring and waxing.

Schlick has many years of experience working as a stylist in the Fargo area. Her services include haircuts and coloring.

Fehrenbach previously worked for Hair Success Medi Spa, and she provides Botox injections, dermal fillers and chemical peels.

Anderson joins Village as family therapist

Jamie Anderson has joined The Village Family Service Center as an intensive in-home family based therapist in the Fargo office.

Anderson graduated from North Dakota State University with a master’s degree in counseling. Her areas of specialty include adolescent, abuse, anxiety, depression and self-esteem issues.

Three join Tastefully Simple, one promoted

Shana Lang and Lucas Moran, Fargo, and KaSaundra Jones, West Fargo, have joined Tastefully Simple as consultants, and Gail Hayes, Fargo, has been promoted to team leader.

Hayes earned the promotion through sales achievements and by adding new consultants to the national direct sales company that features easy-to-prepare gourmet foods.

Three new hires at Applied Engineering

Applied Engineering has hired Steven Bladow and Joseph Kostreba, and Andy Tan has transitioned from a temporary to a full-time role with the company.

Bladow re-joined AE’s engineering services as a prototype technician based in Gwinner, N.D.

Kostreba has joined the engineering services de­partment as a design engineer in Fargo. He graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Tan earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.

Dawson Insurance hires personal lines assistant

Kendra Ahlquist has joined Dawson Insurance, Fargo, as a personal lines account assistant.

Ahlquist is a native of Alexandria, Minn., and she graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, with a psychology degree. Prior to joining Dawson, she spent more than seven years working in customer service in the amusement park industry.

Gallagher joins Spectrum Aeromed

Michael Gallagher has joined Spectrum Aeromed in Fargo as vice president/project manager.

He has more than 20 years of leadership and project development experience. Prior to joining Spectrum Aeromed, Gallagher was owner of Curtis Construction Co., Fargo, and was responsible for executive level management of the company that specializes in the design and construction of church facilities.

He was also a partner in Emerald Consultants and a construction and project manager for MBA Development Co., both of Fargo.

Gallagher is a Fargo native and has a degree in mechanical engineering from North Dakota State University and a master’s in business administration degree from the University of Mary.

Stemen named VP of First State Bank branch

First State Bank of North Dakota, Marion, has named Greg Stemen as senior vice president and branch manager.

He is replacing bank president Richard Anderson, who retires at the end of the year.

Stemen previously was a lending officer at a bank in La­Moure, worked for a medical facility in Bismarck and was the head men’s basketball coach for eight years at Southwest Minnesota State University, Marshall.

He grew up in LaMoure and earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Valley City State University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University.

In addition to working at FSBND, Stemen also runs a small agricultural operation engaged in custom harvest work and buying and selling cattle.

NetWork Center announces new hires

The NetWork Center, Fargo, has hired Jay DeMers and Steve Thielman as help desk technicians, Dana Eckart as an account executive and Kyle Bishop as a network systems analyst.

DeMers has 11 years of experience in information technology and a bachelor’s degree from Minot (N.D.) State University with double majors in business management and international business.

Thielman is a graduate of St. Cloud (Minn.) State University with a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and has 10 years of IT experience.

Eckart has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has six years of experience in technology as an account manager.

Bishop has more than eight years of experience working within the IT industry. He has an associate degree from Minnesota State Community and Technical College.

DFC Consultants adds solutions consultant

DFC Consultants in Fargo has hired Andrea Lange as a customer relationship management solutions consultant.

Lange is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

She was previously employed as a CRM support consultant at VMC Consulting, a Microsoft vendor.

Fargo Hospitality names GM, office manager

The Fargo Hospitality Group has appointed John Tomaszewski as the new general manager of the Days Inn, Fargo, and Tracie Clemens has been named front office manager at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 4776 Agassiz Crossing S., Fargo.

The Days Inn is in the former Hampton Inn at 3431 14th Ave. S., Fargo.

Prior to joining the Days Inn, Tomaszewski was the front office manager of the current Hampton Inn of Fargo.

Clemens formerly served as the front desk agent and currently also serves as the sales assistant at Hampton Inn and Suites in Fargo. She is a graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, with a degree in sales, marketing and management.

Three new hires at Ulteig in Fargo

Ulteig in Fargo has hired Jill Anderson as a project manager in energy services and Joan Steiner as a project manager in the right-of-way market, and Ashley Erickson has joined the business development team as a business development associate.

Anderson earned a degree in engineering management from Stevens Institute of Technology and was previously employed at DMI Industries as a program manager.

Steiner is pursuing an associate degree in business administration from Alexandria (Minn.) Technical College and was previously employed at Houston Engineering as marketing director and at Ulteig as a marketing team member.

Erickson earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Mary and was previously employed with Kadrmas, Lee and Jackson as a research analyst.

Mutual of Omaha names Gruenberg manager

Shawn Gruenberg has joined Mutual of Omaha as sales manager in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.

He graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and has 15 years of insurance industry experience.

Gruenberg most recently was a manager with Colonial Life.

Two Fargo police officers promoted

The Fargo Police Department has promoted Officer James Kringlie and Officer Thomas Shaw to the rank of sergeant.

Kringlie is a 26-year veteran with the Fargo Police Department and most recently was assigned to the field services division in the traffic safety unit.

Shaw has been with the department since 2003 and most recently was assigned as a narcotics detective.

Both sergeants will be assigned to the night shift with the field services division beginning Jan. 9

Sonstelie promoted at Otter Tail Corp.

Otter Tail Corp. has promoted Mykal Sonstelie to vice president of internal audit and business risk management.

A native of Dickinson, N.D., Sonstelie is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

She previously worked in audit management at Eide Bailly, Fargo, and has been with Otter Tail Corp. since 2004, most recently as director of internal audition.

Wallace joins Houston Engineering in Fargo

Jerry Wallace has joined Houston Engineering’s Fargo office as a civil engineer.

A native of Waterford, N.Y., he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University.

He previously worked for two summers with Houston Engineering, Kodiak Construction in Saratoga, N.Y., and for the U.S. Navy.

Abrahamson joins Western State Bank

Diane Abrahamson has joined Western State Bank in Fargo as a receptionist and loan assistant.

Abrahamson was previously a customer service associate at Bremer Bank for 13 years.

Alerus Financial hires customer service rep

Alerus Financial has hired Andrea Dick as a customer service representative at its downtown Fargo location

Dick was previously a merchandise associate with TJ Maxx in Fargo and joins Alerus with more than eight years of experience in customer service.

She received a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

Three new agents join Prudential Premier

Rachel Blankenship, Brett Meyers and Steve Klocke have joined the sales team at Prudential Premier Real Estate, Fargo.

Blankenship has more than 10 years of customer service experience and three years of experience in the legal field. Meyers has four years of real estate experience and more than 15 years of farming experience. He also has a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s degree in business and is working on an accounting degree from the University of Mary.

Klocke has more than 13 years of real estate experience.


Corporate Technologies in Fargo hires four

Corporate Technologies, Fargo, has hired Jared Langendorfer as a repair technician, Derek Liljequist as a systems engineer, Kelly Mortensen as a senior network engineer and Grant Simonson as a service sales executive.

Langendorfer graduated from Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, S.D., and previously worked for Premier Bankcard, Watertown.

Liljequist served for eight years on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps as a data network specialist, including two deployments to Iraq and one deployment to Afghanistan.

Mortensen has 16 years of experience in information technology. He was previously employed at Applied Engineering, Fargo, as a systems architect.

Simonson has been in sales for 10 years, previously working at AT&T and Corwin Chrysler, Fargo.

First International hires assistant VP, manager

Clayton Lilleby has joined First International Bank and Trust as assistant vice president and branch manager at the north Fargo location.

Lilleby has more than 10 years experience in the financial services industry. His prior positions include financial adviser, branch manager and most recently private banker.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Bemidji (Minn.) State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary in Fargo.

Flint Group adds three employees in Fargo

The Flint Group has added three employees to their specialist roster in Fargo.

Colie Paulson has been named interactive project manager for the group’s Flint Interactive agency, LaRissa Nelson joins Flint Communications as a junior copywriter and John Hagen has been hired to Flint’s account service team as an account coordinator and list management specialist.

Previously, Paulson was project coordinator for Freedom Force Communications. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Nelson graduated from Concordia College with a bachelor’s degree in English writing and psychology.

Hagen previously worked at U.S. Bank in the corporate accounts customer service department. He graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Zimmerman hired to work in infant program

Nikki Zimmerman has joined Early Intervention Partners in Fargo in the infant development program.

She has a child development and family science degree from North Dakota State University and an early childhood special education degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Zimmerman has several years of experience working with families and children.
