Fargo man accused of stabbing girlfriend pleads guilty to terrorizingFARGO – A 22-year-old Fargo man accused of cutting his girlfriend on the leg and punching and choking her pleaded guilty Monday to a felony terrorizing charge in Cass County District Court.
Kalon Edward Green also pleaded guilty to Class A misdemeanor simple assault, said Leah Viste, an assistant Cass County state’s attorney.
Green was sentenced to two years of probation and received credit for 30 days served in jail.
An aggravated assault charge was dismissed. The judge denied the victim’s request to dismiss a no-contact order, Viste said.
The police report states that an argument between the dating couple escalated and Green cut the victim on her left thigh. The cut was 8 to 9 inches long and exposed the fatty tissue, the report states.
The victim told police Green punched her several times in the jaw and face and placed his hands over her mouth and nose, telling her, “If you tell anyone about this I will kill you,” the report states.
