Area nonprofits receive Edina Foundation grants

The Edina Realty Foundation has awarded $1,000 grants to the following Fargo area organizations: American Red Cross, Churches United for the Homeless, Habitat for Humanity and the Emergency Food Pantry.

A portion of the money came from the Realtors of Edina Realty’s Fargo sales office and from Edina Realty.

Agents and employees also held events throughout the year to help raise additional contributions.

Gate City Bank donates to area organizations

Gate City Bank has donated more than $218,000 to area organizations.

Donations to educational institutions included: Youth Summit 2011, North Dakota State University College of Business, Moorhead High School After School Open Library, Newspapers In Education, Fargo Davies DECA Club, NDSU Campus Lions Club and NDSU Development Foundation.

Contributions to support the arts included: Tin Roof Theatre, Celebration of Women and Their Music, Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band, Trollwood Performing Arts School and BisonArts Gala.

Other local donations included: HopeCare Rest and Rejuv, River Keepers, Arc of Cass County, F-M Dorothy Day House, Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity, Moorhead Basketball Association, United Way of Cass Clay, Bonanzaville Pioneer Days, Metro Area Transit, Fargo Moorhead Emergency Food Pantry, Jail Chaplains, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Cullen Children’s Foundation, Red River Valley Asperger Autism Network, Lost and Found Ministry, Wellspring for the World, and YMCA Paul Howry Golf Tournament, Special Olympics of North Dakota, Arthritis Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association, Huntington’s Disease Society of America, March of Dimes North Dakota Chapter, North Dakota High School Rodeo Association, North Dakota Knights of Columbus, Boy Scouts of America Northern Lights Council, Pheasants Forever, The Outdoor Adventure Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, Children’s Miracle Network and Make a Wish Foundation of North Dakota.
