Courtenay, N.D., man killed in rollover crashLEONARD, N.D. – A 55-year-old Courtenay man is dead after a traffic accident near here early Friday, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Raymond Heiser was driving his pickup southbound on state Highway 18, when he apparently failed to slow down for the T-intersection with state Highway 46 in Richland County, the Patrol reported.
The man’s pickup left the roadway, entered the ditch south of Highway 46 and rolled.
The man was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, which is about 1.5 miles south of Leonard, the Patrol reported.
The pickup was totaled in the crash.
Troopers said they don’t know exactly when the accident took place but they believe it occurred in the early morning hours.
The driver’s name has not yet been released.
