String of burglaries reported in Casselton

CASSELTON, N.D. – Residents here are being advised to lock their doors and vehicles after a recent string of break-ins.

About a half-dozen burglaries have been reported in the past four to six weeks, said Chief Deputy Jim Thoreson of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The most recent burglary was reported at 7:17 a.m. Monday at the Maple River Winery, where a small amount of cash was stolen, he said.

No arrests have been made, but authorities believe they have several juvenile suspects identified, Thoreson said.
