Two men charged in connection with Saturday stabbingFARGO – Two men have been charged with robbery for their role in a stabbing that sent two men to a hospital on Nov. 26.
Deandre Trevon Johnston, 18, of Fargo, and Samuel Eubanks, Jr., 19, of West Fargo, were both charged with two counts of robbery on Friday in Cass County District Court.
According to police documents, Johnston stabbed both Colby Mathis and Cory Lowery with a knife during an altercation before stealing Mathis’s wallet. Charges against Johnston are Class A felonies, which would carry a minimum sentence of four years in prison if convicted.
Documents allege that Eubanks punched both Mathis and Lowery during the robbery. The charges against Eubanks are Class B felonies.
Police have said they believe the alleged assaults were prompted by a dispute over drugs.
Johnston’s next court appearance is set for Dec. 29 at 1:30 p.m., and Eubanks will appear in court on Jan. 5 at 1:30 p.m.
