Fargo police arrest 15-year-old boy in connection with armed robberyFARGO – Police arrested a 15-year-old boy today in connection with an armed robbery that appears to have happened during an illegal drug sale at a south Fargo apartment, Lt. Joel Vettel said.
Officers responded to a 911 call at about 6 p.m. Monday about a disturbance involving a man with a gun at a residence in the 2200 block of Sixth Avenue South. The victims told police a male armed with a handgun threatened them and demanded cash, Vettel said.
The boy was arrested at 12:30 p.m. today.
Vettel said it’s the second incident in less than a week in which an apparent drug deal ended in violence. The other incident, on Saturday night, resulted in two people sustaining non-fatal stab wounds. No arrests have been made in that case, but police continue to follow up on leads, Vettel said.
“We don’t see this a lot,” he said.
