Frazee woman arrested after Kemp Lake crashVERGAS, Minn. – A Frazee woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with driving while intoxicated after her car veered off a road near Kemp Lake and hit a parked car and snapped a utility pole cable, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Samantha Brune was westbound on County Highway 4 about 10:25 p.m. when the accident occurred, the report by Deputy Andrew Anderson stated.
Brune told Anderson her dog jumped onto her lap, causing her to veer off the road.
Brune’s 1994 Acura Integra then broke through a support cable for a utility pole and crashed into a parked vehicle, Anderson’s report said. A transformer also fell from the utility pole, cutting power to a nearby home, the report stated.
It was determined that Brune was under the influence of alcohol, and she was arrested for DWI, the report stated.
No injuries were reported. The damage from the crash was estimated at more than $1,000, but no further details were reported.
