Highway 10 to get new traffic signalDETROIT LAKES, Minn. – A new traffic signal will be activated the week of Nov. 28 at the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 9 in Clay County. The signal will replace a two-way stop on Highway 9.
The activation was originally scheduled to be in September but was delayed due to damage sustained in a crash prior to activation.
Motorists should watch for lane and shoulder closures beginning Monday while crews install the new pole and mast arm for eastbound Highway 10.
Other intersection improvements already in place include a southbound free-flow right turn lane on Highway 9 and a westbound acceleration lane on Highway 10.
The signal and intersection improvements will increase safety at the intersection.
