No serious injuries in ND train-truck collisionDEVILS LAKE, N.D. — Authorities say no one was seriously hurt when a pickup truck towing a trailer with large round hay bales collided with a train hauling 12 freight cars.
The crash happened early Sunday afternoon about 10 miles northeast of Devils Lake. The Highway Patrol says the driver of the pickup unsuccessfully tried to beat the train at a crossing on a Ramsey County gravel road.
The patrol says the pickup driver and the train operator were checked by ambulance staff and released. The pickup driver was cited for failing to yield.
