North Dakota VFW donates to veterans homeLISBON, N.D. – The North Dakota Veterans of Foreign Wars has donated $11,225.79 to the North Dakota Veterans Home Foundation here.
The foundation combined that donation with other funds to give nearly $33,600 to the Veterans Home so it could build a gazebo and fence a patio area for patients suffering from dementia, as well as buy four patient lifts and a portable vital signs monitoring system, said Dale Ronning, a member of the foundation board of directors.
The foundation board members include volunteers from the Disabled American Veterans, VFW, American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America and AMVETS.
