Cobbers’ Green named MIAC player of the yearST. PAUL – Concordia senior outside hitter Jenna Green has been named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player of the year for volleyball.
Cobbers head coach Tim Mosser was named MIAC coach of the year, leading his team to a 25-3 record entering this weekend’s NCAA Division III tournament.
A four-year starter, Green has more than 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career. Green tied for the MIAC lead this season with 4.18 kills per set. She also averaged 4.43 digs per set, which ranked sixth in the MIAC.
Concordia senior middle hitter Katie Vohnoutka and senior setter Amy Sykora also joined Green on the All-MIAC team. Concordia senior hitter Ashley Beseman made the MIAC sportsmanship team.
