Amenia rollover crash victims identifiedAMENIA, N.D. – A Page man killed in a rollover near Amenia, and two others injured in the crash, were identified Sunday by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Joshua A. Melvin, 30, a passenger in a 1988 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Keegan A. Haas, 25, of Page, died at the scene of the crash.
The crash occurred about 12:51 a.m. Saturday on North Dakota Highway 18 about two miles north of Amenia, a Patrol report said.
The vehicle was northbound on ND 18 when it entered the east ditch, struck a field approach, went airborne, and rolled. Melvin, Haas, and a second passenger, Jody L. Arttus, 43, West Fargo, were ejected from the vehicle during the crash, the report said.
Haas was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo, where he listed in satisfactory condition on Sunday, a spokeswoman said.
Arttus was also injured in the crash and taken to a Fargo hospital for treatment, the Patrol report said. However, spokeswomen at Sanford and Essentia Health said they had no information available on her as a patient.
None of the three in the vehicle were wearing seat belts, the Patrol report said.
