Fugitive Focus: Aaron Elijah Bird

Wanted for: gross sexual imposition and soliciting a minor

Local and federal authorities are seeking to apprehend a 31-year-old Moorhead man who is accused of touching a 9-year-old girl inappropriately at a West Fargo residence.

Aaron Elijah Bird, 632 12th St. N., is charged in Cass County District Court with gross sexual imposition, a Class A felony, and solicitation of minors, a Class C felony.

Court records say Bird was invited to spend the night at a co-worker’s West Fargo home in July after a picnic.

During the night, Bird allegedly touched the girl inappropriately and exposed his penis to her, court records say.

A warrant for Bird’s arrest was issued Oct. 24.

Bird has a lengthy history of run-ins with law enforcement in both Minnesota and North Dakota, many for violent crimes.

In Minnesota, court records show multiple convictions for interfering with police officers and obstructing the legal process – most recently in Clay County in July.

He also has records for assault and domestic violence in Wilkin County.

In North Dakota, Bird has convictions for armed robbery and fleeing police, among other crimes.
