Fugitive Focus: Henry Asaph Webster
Local and federal authorities are seeking to apprehend a 36-year-old man who is accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl he knew.
Henry Asaph Webster faces charges in Cass County District Court for an incident that allegedly took place in January.
According to a Fargo police report filed with the charges:
The 12-year-old victim told authorities that Webster touched her breasts over her bra and shirt when the two were in a bedroom of her home.
The girl said Webster approached her and touched the inside of her thigh while sitting down next to her.
The girl said she told him to stop, but Webster allegedly replied, “It’s OK,” while continuing to touch her in what she described as “a squeezing motion.”
The incident, which occurred around Jan. 1, was the only time the victim said he touched her. However, she told police she believes her sister had a similar encounter with him previously.
A warrant for Webster’s arrest was issued Sept. 1.
The police report dated July 20 stated Webster was believed to be living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
A search of court records by The Forum indicated Webster has no previous criminal history in either Minnesota or North Dakota.
