Strong winds cause power interruptions in MoorheadMOORHEAD – High winds caused two short systemwide power interruptions here Friday afternoon.
Each interruption lasted about one second, and the electric system recovered immediately due to Moorhead Public Service’s electric system configuration, according to a news release.
The power interruptions were due to a transmission tower collapse from strong winds.
The tower is operated by Western Area Power Administration. MPS will continue to monitor its electric system in Moorhead.
