Accident spills sand across Highway 9BRECKENRIDGE, Minn. – A truck spilled sand over Highway 9 near here after it collided with a tractor trailer.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol:
The accident happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 9 and 200th Street just before noon.
John Arnhalt, 26, of Wolverton was driving an International tractor trailer west on 200th Street when he collided with Leland Olson, 55, of Walcott, N.D., who was driving a Peterbuilt truck south on U.S. Highway 9.
Olson’s truck tipped over and spilled sand over both lanes of the highway. Olson was not injured.
Arnhalt’s truck came to rest in the west ditch. He was transported to Essentia Health in Fargo to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. It is not known if he was wearing a seat belt, the state patrol said.
