Five jurors selected in Wilkin murder trialBRECKENRIDGE, Minn. – By about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, five jurors had been selected in the murder trial for Jeffrey Allen Silvernail, a court official said.
Attorneys are individually questioning candidates to sit on the jury that will hear the murder case in which Silvernail is accused of shooting his estranged girlfriend, Lori Roberts.
The trial in Wilkin County District Court is slated to last up to 13 days. Silvernail faces both a first- and second-degree murder charge. If convicted on the first-degree charge, Silvernail will face a mandatory prison term of life without chance for parole.
