Weekend Watch: 'Chicago'
Tonight through Saturday
Though set during Prohibition and originally staged in 1975, the musical “Chicago” and its examination of the celebrity criminal are a perfect fit for today’s 24-hour, tabloid news programming. It also doesn’t hurt to have Kander/Ebb tunes like “All that Jazz” and “Razzle Dazzle” or Bob Fosse’s signature choreography to make it timeless. The classic gets new legs with Music Theatre Fargo-Moorhead’s production tonight through Saturday and again next week at Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre, 333 4th St. S., Fargo. The songs start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $6 to $15. (701) 235-1901.
