Live music


Downtown Fargo is grooving Friday night. Within easy walking distance are three noteworthy shows.

Things start at 7 p.m. at Theatre B, 716 Main Ave., with Music for Hope, a fundraiser for the North Dakota Chapter of the Association for Suicide Prevention. Singer/songwriters Brooks West, Cecelia, Shape then Shift, Morgan Ranstrom, Eden Parker and Remember Me perform on the first night with Little Winter, Shane Maland, Scot Kelsh, Rosemary Sauvageau and Mark Proulx playing Saturday. Tickets are $10.

At 7:30 Friday, Austin, Texas, folksinger Carrie Elkin (pictured) brings her guitar to the Spirit Room, 111 Broadway. There is a $12 cover, with all proceeds going to the artist. (701) 237-0230.

Latin Grammy-winning jazz bassist Eddie Gomez and his trio play at 8 at Studio 222, 222 Broadway, Fargo. Tickets are $10; free for students.
