Carlson should clean up his messLike most people in North Dakota, I was taught at a young age to clean up any mess I had made.
State Rep. Al Carlson, R-Fargo, clearly failed to learn this important lesson. After creating a mess with his bill to require the University of North Dakota to retain the Sioux logo, he refused to have anything to do with its repeal. Now he is loudly complaining about how fast UND and the state Board of Higher Education are moving to clean up the mess he left.
Another lesson I learned from my North Dakota parents was that an important sign of maturity is knowing when enough is enough. If Carlson isn’t going to clean up his mess, he should at least have the maturity to know when to walk away.
