10-year-old boy killed when struck by pickupFORT TOTTEN, N.D. – A 10-year-old boy was killed Sunday evening after he was struck by a pickup west of Fort Totten.
The boy, identified by the state Highway Patrol as Noah A. Littlewind of Fort Totten, was among a group of children north of North Dakota Highway 57. Anelle J. Howard, 46, of Sheyenne was driving west, about a mile west of Fort Totten, when the boy rode his bicycle onto the highway and into the path of the woman’s pickup at 7:35 p.m., according to the patrol.
The patrol said the front right of the vehicle struck the bicycle.
An ambulance took the boy to Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake, but he sustained fatal injuries, the patrol said in a news release.
