Apple Valley home set on fire with 6 inside asleepAPPLE VALLEY, Minn. — Police have arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of arson after an Apple Valley home was set on fire while a family of six slept inside.
The fire at the two-story home was reported early Friday. The two adults and four girls inside awoke and found their home's exterior near the front door was ablaze.
All six escaped without injury. Firefighters put out the fire.
Police Chief Scott Johnson tells the Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/ni7YUo) authorities are confident the house was targeted.
The suspect is in the Dakota County Jail. Charges have not been filed.
Police did not give a motive for the fire.
