LaMoure pilot who crashed crop duster released from hospital

FARGO – A pilot from LaMoure who was injured when his crop duster crashed Tuesday in Dickey County has been discharged from Essentia Health in Fargo, a hospital spokeswoman said today.

North Dakota Highway Patrol Sgt. Josh Rude has said David Lux, 46, suffered a head injury and was contaminated with pesticide in the crash, which happened at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday three miles south of Monango, which is about 50 miles south of Jamestown.

Rude said it appears Lux was flying north when the wing of his plane clipped a tree and went down.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
