ND, SD farms have high rate of computer accessFARGO, N.D. (AP) — The percentage of farms with access to computers is slightly higher in the Dakotas than in the nation as a whole.
The Agriculture Department says 69 percent of North Dakota farms and 68 percent of South Dakota farms have computer access, higher than the national average of 65 percent.
Computer access has increased in North Dakota since the last survey in 2009, when 65 percent of farms had access. The rate in South Dakota remained unchanged over the two years.
