Man’s arm cut when he steps into confrontation in PagePAGE, N.D. – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says a 25-year-old Page resident sustained a cut to his arm Saturday when he stepped between two men who were arguing and one of them pulled a knife.
The incident occurred at about 11:46 p.m. in an apartment unit at 308 Argus Ave. in Page.
Deputy Lance Kitzan said the two men allegedly involved in the confrontation, ages 18 and 20, hadn’t come to blows yet but were “in each other’s face” when the victim and another person stepped between them to try to break it up.
The 18-year-old allegedly pulled a fixed-blade buck knife and cut the victim on the upper-left arm, Kitzan said. The wound was about 5 inches long and didn’t appear to be life-threatening, he said.
Page Ambulance transported the victim to Essentia Health in Fargo. His name was not released.
Authorities recovered the knife, which was dropped after the victim was cut, Kitzan said.
The sheriff’s office will seek charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct against the 18-year-old, Kitzan said. A disorderly conduct charge also will be sought against the 20-year-old for allegedly throwing a punch at the 18-year-old, he said.
The two had had previous disagreements, he said.
