Going to the AirSho? Here are some tipsFARGO – With the Fargo AirSho taking flight this weekend from Hector International Airport, there are several items spectators should know before heading to the performances.
Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.
How much are tickets?
Tickets cost $25 for adults 18 and over and $15 for children 11 to 17. Children 10 and younger are free.
For those who didn’t buy tickets online or in advance, tickets will be available at the Fargo AirSho gates each day of the show.
What kind of seating will there be?
Field seating is available for all general admission ticket holders. It’s recommended you bring your own chairs and blankets.
Can we upgrade our seating?
Seating upgrades will be available for purchase on the air show grounds each day of the show. These upgrades will not be sold in advance and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
The upgrade cost applies to all ages of attendees.
How does the weather forecast look for the air show?
The National Weather Service in Grand Forks forecasts sunny skies throughout the weekend. Saturday’s high temperature is expected to be about 77 degrees, while Sunday is expected to be near 80.
What items are spectators allowed to bring?
Camera (camera bags are subject to inspection)
Diaper bags are permitted but are subject to search
Are any items prohibited on the grounds?
No food or beverages (except water)
No coolers (except small coolers with infant formula or personal medical supplies)
No loose ice
No backpacks (except for infant diapers, infant supplies, or camera equipment-these will be inspected)
No roller blades, skateboards, bikes, scooters or golf carts
No pets, only service animals are allowed
What time do the gates open?
The gate opens at 9 a.m. both days, performances start about 11 a.m.
What time does the show end?
The show usually ends around 4 p.m. The gates close at 5 p.m.
What time do the Blue Angels perform?
Due to weather conditions the day of the show a specific time is not announced. They will perform both days some time during the show.
Where can I park?
Parking will be available at the Fargodome, the industrial park west of the dome and Fargo North High School.
Shuttles will be available to get you to and from the parking lots.
If overflow parking is needed, there will be signs to guide them to it. Parking is free to advanced ticket holders. Fargodome lot parking will be $3 per vehicle.
Handicap parking will be at the “Old Terminal”
How will traffic routes be affected?
Fargo’s 19th Avenue North will be closed west of University for most of Saturday and Sunday due to AirSho safety regulations.
Officials suggest the following routes to reach the Fargodome:
- Follow Interstate 29 to Exit 69, which is the off ramp to Cass County Highway 20. Drive east on Cass County 20 to University Drive until reaching the Fargodome.
- Follow I-29 to 12th Avenue North. Drive east on 12th Avenue North. Turn north on 10th Street North. Drive to 19th Avenue North. Turn west and drive to the Fargodome.
