ND men plead guilty in stolen money order caseGRAND FORKS — Authorities say two men have pleaded guilty to converting a stolen money order for cash.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says 38-year-old Michael Greywater of St. Michaels pleaded guilty on Tuesday in federal court in Grand Forks. Purdon says 27-year-old Alonzo Green of Fort Totten pleaded guilty to the same charges on Wednesday.
Purdon says the money orders were stolen during a burglary at the St. Michael post office in May 2010.
Purdon says Greywater and Green did not take part in the burglary.
The men face up to five years in prison for converting the stolen money order for cash. Both men are slated to be sentenced on Oct. 26.
