Schultz heading to Scotland for European Tour qualifying schoolFARGO – In his quest to get to a higher level in professional golf, David Schultz is heading overseas.
The Fargo South graduate is entered in the first stage of the European Tour qualifying school at Dundonald Links in Ayrshire, Scotland. The tournament runs Sept. 13-16 with the top players advancing to the second stage in Spain in December.
“I’m at a point in my golf career that I’ll do anything to get to the next level and if that means having to travel, that’s fine,” Schultz said. “I’m at a point in my life, I’ll be 29 next year, that if I’m ever going to do this, it’s now.”
The Dundonald event is one of eight Q-school first stage tournaments located throughout Europe. That gets cut to four venues for the second stage with the third and final stage in mid-December in Spain.
