Bismarck can't land headline acts from State FairBISMARCK — Bismarck's efforts to land three headline acts at the canceled North Dakota State Fair have fallen short.
Bismarck Civic Center Manager Charlie Jeske tells The Bismarck Tribune that he received permission from the City Commission to negotiate contracts with Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum and Kid Rock, but the offers were rejected.
The State Fair was to begin Friday in Minot, but officials earlier this month decided to cancel it because of Souris River flooding.
