Suspect still sought in Wolverton, Minn., case in which someone tried to neuter husky with rubber band

WOLVERTON, Minn. – There have been no new leads in the case of Jack, a Siberian husky here who was seriously injured when someone tried to neuter him with a rubber band.

Sandy Maesse, Jack’s owner, said Jack suffered a minor setback two weeks ago and returned to the veterinarian for more stitches.

Maesse first took the dog to a vet last month when he became unable to walk. The vet discovered someone had wrapped a plastic tie around Jack’s genitals, causing severe swelling and pain.

On July 1, he was taken to the vet once again and had all stitches removed. Maesse said Jack is doing much better.

She said despite media coverage, no suspects have been identified.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office at (218) 643-8544.
