Tornado warnings issued after wall cloud, funnel spotted

FARGO – At about 9:25 p.m. a weather spotter reported a wall cloud and funnel near Grandin, N.D., prompting the National Weather Service to issue a tornado warning for an area between Grandin and Harwood on the North Dakota side of the Red River and the Georgetown area in Minnesota.

The weather system was moving southeast.

About 10 p.m., another tornado warning was issued for an area that includes West Fargo and parts of Fargo.

The Weather Service said a member of the public reported a tornado about 10:02 p.m. about five miles northwest of Mapleton, N.D.
