Rothsay principal, superintendent leavingROTHSAY, Minn. – The school district will replace its top two administrators who are leaving for positions elsewhere.
Superintendent May Donahue Stetz accepted the position of superintendent at Walker-Hackensack-Akeley.
Principal Ehren Zimmerman was hired as principal at Perham-Dent High School.
Donahue Stetz was in Rothsay since coming to the district as a principal/
superintendent in 2000.
Zimmerman served as principal and activities director and was in the district for nine years.
The school board voted to hire former superintendent Warren Schmidt as interim superintendent starting July 1 at a salary of $520 per day without benefits.
At a May 31 special meeting, the school board approved a K-12 principal contract with Jamie Goebel. The board hired Lynn Peterson as activities director.
