Boil water advisory for WadenaWADENA, Minn. — A water boil advisory has been issued for the City of Wadena.
Officials say the city's water system pressure dropped to a harmful level after a pump failed. The problem has been fixed, but tests must be done to prove the water is bacteria free. Those results should be back within 36 hours.
KSAX-TV reports that bacteria might have entered the water system, so residents should boil their drinking water for one minute to ensure safety.
Area residents should only use boiled or bottled water for drinking, food preparation or household chores like cleaning.
