All lanes of east-west North Dakota route open to trafficBISMARCK – North Dakota transportation officials say they have opened all lanes of a major east-west route that was disrupted by Souris River flooding.
Officials earlier this week closed U.S. Highway 2 about four miles west of Towner in north-central North Dakota. The westbound lanes were reopened Friday and the eastbound lanes on Saturday.
Traffic speeds are reduced to 45 mph in the westbound lanes and 5 mph in the eastbound lanes due to water on the roadway.
