Alert lifted for North Dakota National Guard unitsAssociated Press
BISMARCK, N.D. - The North Dakota National Guard says a potential mobilization alert for two Carrington-based Guard units has been lifted.
The Guard says the 835th Engineer Team and the 837th Engineer Team are no longer needed.
Mobilization of both units would have involved about 40 Guard members. One unit specializes in asphalt, the other in concrete.
Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk (SPRIN’-suh-NAH’-tik) says the announcement is good news for Guard families and employers.
