Dayton’s voter ID veto is of great concernGov. Mark Dayton recently vetoed the voter ID legislation that the Minnesota House and Senate passed.
I called his office and asked why. I was told that the governor was not going to pass it because the DFL objected to it. When I asked if it wasn’t more important that the poll the Minneapolis Star-Tribune had done showed Minnesota voters were overwhelmingly in support of this legislation. At that time the staff member I was speaking to effectively terminated the conversation.
Why would a political party object to fair and open elections? It concerns me. Doesn’t it concern you?
