Man accused of providing drugs in Inver Grove Heights woman's ODHASTINGS, Minn. — Authorities have charged a 28-year-old man with providing the drugs that led to an Inver Grove Heights woman's overdose death last year.
Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom says Dennis James Rivers is charged with one count of third-degree murder.
Rivers allegedly brought drugs including cocaine and methadone into the home of 46-year-old Heidi Hanson. Hanson took the drugs and died last September.
Rivers was arrested in St. Paul late Tuesday. He was charged by warrant and is scheduled to make his first court appearance Thursday.
