Guard missions end in Moorhead, OakportMOORHEAD – The National Guard deactivated its mission in Moorhead on Thursday, according to a release from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
The Guard mission also deactivated in Oakport Township and Georgetown, but the Sheriff’s Office will have resources in Georgetown during the day today.
Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist also announced that the Clay County Emergency Operations Center was shut down Thursday. He said the county will run the rest of the flood fight through its regular phone numbers.
In his release, Bergquist reminded residents that Highway 75 at Georgetown is still shut down to through traffic because of a levee on Highway 75.
