Harvey flour business cited for violationsThe U.S. Occupational Safety and Hazard Association has cited Dakota Prairie Organic Flour Co. in Harvey, N.D., with a handful of violations for unsafe working conditions, the organization announced Wednesday.
The citations included repeat violations for failing to maintain an effective respiratory protection program, provide appropriate protective equipment, and use approved electrical equipment. The company was cited for similar hazards in 2009, OSHA said. The citations include proposed fines totaling nearly $30,000.
The company has 15 days to comply with the citations, request a meeting with OSHA or contest the findings.
