Wyndmere considering city sales tax

WYNDMERE — The southeast North Dakota community of Wyndmere is considering a 2 percent sales tax to improve infrastructure including the town's sanitary sewer system.

Mayor Seth Springer tells the Daily News that a tax would raise up to $50,000 a year for the work.

City leaders are holding a public meeting Thursday to talk about the idea of a home-rule charter that would give them the authority to impose the tax.
