Byberg announces he'll again seek Minnesota's 7th Congressional seat

A Republican opponent of Rep. Collin Peterson, D-Minn., announced Saturday he will again seek Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District seat in Washington D.C.

Lee Byberg’s intentions were announced Saturday in an email sent out by the committee to elect the Willmar, Minn., man to Congress.

Byberg won the Republican endorsement in 2010 before losing to Peterson in the general election.

In November, Peterson won his 11th term in office by collecting 55.2 percent of the vote. Byberg received 37.6 percent of votes while other candidates received the remaining ballots.
