UPDATED: Woman says Fargo man kept her trapped in apartment for daysFARGO – A Fargo man is accused of sexually assaulting a 30-year-old woman and not allowing her to leave her apartment for days, Fargo Police Sgt. Mark Lykken said.
Robin Roy Vogel, 49, was arrested Monday on suspicion of felonious restraint, forced sexual contact, aggravated domestic violence, terrorizing, violation of a protection order and probation violation, Lykken said.
Charges filed in Cass County District Court as of today include: felonious restraint; aggravated assault; simple assault; and gross sexual imposition.
Vogel is expected to appear in court Wednesday.
The victim, who had a prior relationship with Vogel, told police he kept her trapped in her apartment for seven to 10 days, Lykken said.
The victim said she tried several times to leave the apartment in the 700 block of 10th Avenue North, but Vogel would allegedly grab her and throw her across the room, Lykken said. The woman had bruises and claimed she was dragged up the stairs by her hair and that Vogel threatened her life, he said.
The victim was able to call for help while Vogel was going to the bathroom, she told police. Officers arrived at 3:42 p.m. Monday and arrested Vogel about an hour later.
The investigating is ongoing, Lykken said.
