ND to get $889,000 in drug company settlementBISMARCK (AP) — The North Dakota Attorney General's Office says the state's share of a multistate settlement over the antipsychotic drug Seroquel is $889,000.
AstraZeneca was accused of promoting the drug for unapproved uses, including the treatment of insomnia and Alzheimer's disease. The drug is approved to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression.
The company is to pay $68.5 million to 37 states and the District of Columbia. AstraZeneca has denied any wrongdoing and said it agreed to the settlement to move forward with its business.
