USA Curling: Lank, Fenson clinch top seedsTeam Lank earned the No. 1 seed for the women’s playoffs, which start at 8 tonight at the USA Curling National Championships at Scheels Arena.
Team Lank (8-1) scored an 8-7 victory against Team Potter in the final round-robin draw to clinch the top women’s seed. Team Pottinger
(7-2) is the second seed, Team Brown (7-2) is the third seed and Team Potter (6-3) is the fourth seed.
Team Lank plays Team Pottinger, while Team Brown plays Team Potter in the first round of playoffs.
Team Fenson has already clinched the No. 1 seed for the men’s playoff heading into today’s final round-robin draw at Scheels Arena.
The men’s playoffs start at noon Friday.
Fenson is 8-0 through eight draws.
Team George (6-2) has clinched a spot in the playoffs, but its seeding is yet to be determined.
Team Birr (5-3), Team McCormick (5-3), Team Brown (4-4) and Team Jacobson (4-4) are in the hunt for the final two playoff spots.
If a men’s tie breaker is needed, it would be played at 4 p.m. today.
