NDSCS receives grant to recruit students in science, technology, engineering and mathFARGO – A new grant will help the North Dakota State College of Science recruit students to address a significant work force shortage in the state.
The college announced today it has received a $600,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to prepare more students for careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
The grant will allow the college to start a STEM Scholars program for aca-demically talented students who have a financial need.
With this grant, NDSCS has an opportunity to take a lead role in bridging the gap between STEM education and work force needs,” said NDSCS President John Richman.
