My many thanks to Byron Dorgan

Many thanks to retiring Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D.

It is important to honor Dorgan, perhaps the finest senator North Dakota has ever had.

His accomplishments for North Dakota and nationally are remarkable. He was persistent, especially regarding the impending disaster of a then-unsupervised Wall Street.

The Red River Valley Research Corridor is an unparalleled success, especially for North Dakota State University and the University of North Dakota.

Anyone of his status who stands for Native American health, including prevention of youth suicide and obesity, deserves praise.

His well-done farewell speech was brilliantly given.

Best wishes and good fortune, Sen. Dorgan. I’ll read whatever you write.
