AARP opens volunteer Tax-Aide sites todayArea AARP Tax-Aide sites will open today. The free service is available to middle- and low-income taxpayers of all ages, and membership in AARP is not required. All volunteers at the sites are IRS-certified, and most sites will e-file returns at no cost.
Those who itemize deductions, have higher education tuition and fee deductions or educator expense deductions should wait until Feb. 15 to file.
Visit www.aarp.org/nd to view the recommended list of forms to bring to the Tax-Aide sites, which will be open through April 15.
Area communities offering Tax-Aide services include:
- Olivet Lutheran Church, Fargo, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays and Fridays.
- Hjemkomst Center, Moorhead, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays; and Christ the King Lutheran Church, Moorhead, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays.
- Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo, 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays; 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
