North Dakota, Fargo officials plan to discuss spring flood strategy todayFARGO - Officials from North Dakota and Fargo plan to meet today to discuss Red River flooding, according to a news release issued by Gov. Jack Dalrymple's office.
Dalrymple will meet with Mayor Dennis Walaker and other city staff regarding Fargo's spring flood strategy. During the meeting, which starts at 5 p.m. in City Hall, the governor plans to update city officials about available state assistance.
The National Weather Service is projecting a 20 percent to 25 percent chance the Red River could reach the record levels set during 2009 in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
