Longtime Fergus Falls broadcaster Lokken diesFERGUS FALLS, Minn. – Longtime Fergus Falls broadcaster Brian Lokken has died. He was 48 and had been hospitalized since late December.
Lakes Radio says Lokken died Friday at Sanford Health in Fargo. The station group says he had been suffering from complications related to his liver and pancreas.
Lokken, whose given name was Nygaard, had worked at Lakes Radio since 1988. He became director of the news department in 2000.
He and his wife, Sylvia, were married for more than 22 years.
KFGO-AM of Fargo reports funeral arrangements are pending. A planned benefit to help with the family’s medical costs is scheduled for Feb. 7 from 5-7 p.m. at the Fergus Falls VFW.
